Preserving ᏣᎳᎩCherokee
language and culture for future generations
Little Cherokee Seeds is a mother-infant Cherokee language and culture immersion program. Our vision is to see thriving Cherokee communities again; Cherokees who know and live their language, culture, and values and therefore are healthy, balanced, and happy people.

ᎦᏬᏂᎯᏍᏗLanguage

At Little Cherokee Seeds, language immersion is at the heart of our mission. We nurture our children and mothers in the ways of our ancestors, helping them breathe life into our sacred tongue through everyday living. By recreating a Cherokee-speaking home environment, we help families develop a natural and deep connection to the Cherokee language from infancy.
ᎧᏃᎮᎸᎯTradition

Our Cherokee ways are the roots that ground us. Families come together to participate in the seasonal rhythms of our people – gathering from the land, crafting with our hands, and preparing meals that have nourished us for generations. All these activities are steeped in Cherokee customs and taught entirely in our language, weaving an unbreakable bond between our words and our ways.
Language
Immersion
Little Cherokee Seeds immerses our children and mothers with the Cherokee language in a nurturing environment that echoes the daily life of our ancestors.
Cultural
Knowledge
Our families learn by doing, engaging in hands-on activities that have sustained our people for centuries. From crafting to cooking to foraging, every activity is a lesson in both language and heritage.
Elder
Contact
Our elders are the keepers of our stories and the guardians of our traditions. They guide our program, ensuring that the language and customs we pass on are true to our Cherokee ways.
